A Key Account Manager with considerable technical product/ppe experience is required by our client, a leading distributor of industrial products and services. Reporting to the Regional Key Accounts Sales Director, you will be based in Edinburgh and cover from Dundee to the Scottish Borders. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day site-based customer relationship and account development and will deliver customer plans developed by and in collaboration with the National Key Account Managers to relevant local Key Account sites.
You will be responsible for achieving the delivery of agreed revenue and profit growth targets and call plans required for each account, creating leads and opportunities, and implementing corporate sales initiatives as well as liaising with suppliers and product experts as required. Duties will also include discovering, designing, implementing and executing customer orientated projects including technical cost savings, product substitution and supplier engagement.
Highly IT literate in Word, Excel and Powerpoint, you will also have excellent communication, negotiation and inter-personal skills. In addition to specific technical, product and commercial knowledge, the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a successful track record and show the achievement of financial objectives and targets in an executive key account management role together with strategic and operational experience of working in a customer-focused multi-location operation.
A driving licence is essential for this role.
