REGIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY ADVISORS
The Xact Group is a national health and safety provider to SME’s and corporates delivering services across the UK operating from our offices in Glasgow and Luton.
Due to continued expansion, new opportunities have arisen for additional Health & Safety Advisors to join our regional contracts division in Wales covering postcodes CF, NP, GL, HR, SY, LD, SA.
The role will be focused on assisting our clients who operate in a range of sectors in developing H&S systems and introducing new policies and procedures to represent their organisation.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Install agreed health and safety systems including risk assessments, COSHH assessments, policies and procedures.
- Assist clients in the education and training of employees, including participation in induction programmes, with regard to all relevant health and safety issues e.g. accident investigation, risk assessments, employee safety awareness etc.
- Assist in developing systems, for monitoring, control and the implementation of effective policies, procedures and actions to provide a safe working environment.
- Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify potential accidents and health hazards.
Experience & Qualifications
You will need to be able to demonstrate substantial experience of health and safety practice in a similar role. Previous experience in construction and/or food hygiene would be an advantage but not essential.
A Diploma in Health and Safety or an equivalent qualification with IOSH membership would be advantageous; however as a minimum a NEBOSH certificate is required.
These are contract positions and offer industry standard remuneration and expenses.
