Are you commercially focused and looking to make a difference with a new and exciting challenge?
We are growing our Land and Planning Division across the UK to become one of the country's top 5 builders in the next 3 years, and are offering an exciting opportunity For a Regional Head of Land to join our team.
You will be accountable for purchasing land for private open market homes to meet Clarion Housing Group's ambitious target of building 50,000 new homes over the next ten years. Working with the Director of Land and Planning, you'll appraise new opportunities, considering options for tenure, mix, design, funding, use and partnership working.
In addition to overseeing multiple site acquisitions, you will lead the creation of new partnerships and joint ventures, and as such you will be required to maintain an already well-established network of connections with such stakeholders as land agents, property professionals, funders, and house builders.
Negotiating the contractual and commercial aspects including Heads of Terms for new projects is a vital part of this role; you'll draw on expertise from the Finance and Procurement teams and external advisors where required, and progress opportunities through to handover to the regional development teams.
You will contribute to the development and improvement of strategies, policies and procedures to ensure that they deliver Clarion Housing's objectives, along with ensuring all projects are compliant with identified financial regulations, housing scheme standards and organisation policies.
Strong leadership and the ability to motivate your team are essential skills to succeed in this challenging, but rewarding, role. In addition, you will be required to display excellent communication skills, alongside an ability to challenge, influence and engage senior managers and other stakeholders.
You will already have a strong track record of identifying and securing new land opportunities for residential development, as well as experience in leading and developing a growing team of Land Managers.
