Regional Courier Planner

Our Client is a market leader in the provision of international and domestic parcel solutions to both businesses and home addresses.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a REGIONAL PLANNER based out of our clients busy DUNSTABLE depot.

The main purpose of the job is to plan and oversee the regional planning requirements that will ensure delivery of service is co-ordinated and delivered by the field and courier team in a timely, efficient way that increases output in the region.
Setting Pipeline targets and measure success, highlighting problem areas.
Responsible for measuring and improving Field Manager recruitment activity regionally.
Responsible for co-ordinating Courier Pipeline solutions ensuring hard to fill areas are regularly targeted by using all methods including advertising, mail shots and recruitment days.
Analysing courier churn and identifying ways to improve.
Responsible for regional round planning and round cost control.
Responsible for regular review of round costs against Regional Budgetary targets.
Support Contractor team with round planning and cost improvements to parcel rates.
Responsible for round coverage improvements for the region.
Responsible for co-ordinating Region/ Field Activity including.

The ideal candidate will be an analytical thinker with good understanding of Excel, Word and Powerpoint and be able to create spread sheets and pivot tables. Communication is key to this role so strong presentation skills are essential as well as being an effective communicator at all levels with the ability to influence. You'll be able to demonstrate good problem solving skills, plan effective contingencies and solutions.

Previous experience with a particular emphasis on planning and co-ordination is a MUST.
