Regional Enterprise are looking to appoint a Regeneration Officer with experience of Project Closing and Benefits Realisation, initially on a 6 month fixed term basis.

About the role

Regional Enterprise is currently recruiting for a Regeneration Officer to join our Regeneration team in Barnet, London. The role is a maternity cover contract for a minimum of six months, but could be extended to 10 months. Barnet is the fastest growing Borough in London. We currently have five estate regeneration schemes live in Barnet, and as the Regeneration Officer you will support one or more of these schemes

The Regeneration team manages five regeneration projects Stonegrove, Grahame Park, West Hendon, Dollis Valley and Granville Road.

You will work under the direction of a Regeneration Manager and provide project management activity related to the delivery of Estate Regeneration programme for our client the London Borough of Barnet ensuring that they are managed to the Council's corporate project management standards.

What you will do

  • Support the delivery of various regeneration projects.

  • Provide advice on the management aspects of individual projects

  • Work with both internal and external stakeholders of the programme, including staff, partners, residents, technical advisors and communication experts to drive up standards of project management in areas identified as needing to change and improvement.

  • Working to a Regeneration Manager or the Regeneration Programme Manager manage key aspects of the delivery of one or more of the regeneration projects, including the identification of gaps, conducting reviews and putting actions in place to ensure the programme delivers on cost, to time and to the required standard

  • Develop and maintain project risks and issues logs and ensure that all risks and issues are assessed thoroughly, and regularly reported to the Regeneration Programme Manager

  • Influence and co-ordinate project activity

  • Manage designated project costs, within budget

  • Manage the change control process in order to ensure the necessary requirements are delivered and the budget is managed appropriately

  • Co-ordinate reporting to the Regeneration Programme Manager on relevant schemes

  • Work to corporate standards for programme and project management in the council

  • Work within the Regeneration Service to share learning from the projects and ensure that a common approach is adopted on all projects

  • Collaborate in the production, communication, maintenance and continuous review of project documentation

  • Represent the Council and promote the council's scheme specific and wider regeneration objectives in a wide range of forums

  • Monitor and report on project performance

  • Ensure all relevant information is logged with the Regeneration Programme Manager

  • Carry out quality checks to ensure good project management practice, share this where applicable and support improvement, where necessary

  • Act on behalf of the Regeneration Managers or Regeneration Programme Manager in their absence
