Your new role
This is a temporary ongoing role where you will be responsible for typing up and processing patient referrals into other non-primary care services through the appropriate channels at the request of referring clinicians (GPs and Nurse Practitioners).

This may involve patient telephone contact, to check preferred service and advise on waiting times. Main Responsibilities To generate referrals in line with strict turnaround times and/or advice letters and other medical-related correspondence on behalf of clinicians using a combination of touch typing (from S1 task) and audio typing (e.g. from Lexacom - a digital dictation system).

To look into and advise clinicians, or patients, on different alternative services available, understanding and explaining the different eligibility criteria associated to each To prioritise instructions according to stated clinical need e.g. process fast track referrals urgently

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal applicant must have experience of System 1 and Choose and Book along with audio typing skills

What you'll get in return
A competitive hourly rate working 32 hours a week.
Monday and Tuesday 8.30 - 5.00 pm
Wednesday and Thursday 8.30 - 1.00 pm
Friday 8.30 - 4.00 pm
