Trainee Recruitment Consultant

London, UK

Salary: £24k + uncapped commission (£45k 1st year, 65k 2nd year, 80k 3rd year)

What will you be doing as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant?

*Recruitment is a direct sales role, so essentially your role is that of a sales person. You will be selling your services to your clients and candidates, then selling you candidates to your clients and vice versa.

*At the start you will be actively sourcing candidates for the consultants to place- each one that gets placed will mean £250 for you.

*As you progress you will also have to deal with the client side and bring in new business.

*Recruitment consultancy is a meritocratic industry, so there will be set targets in place. For example, to become a junior consultant 15 resourcer deals in 3 months have to be done, to then move to Consultant 10 '360’ deals will have to be done in 2 months, and to become a senior consultant you will need to bill £150,000 in 6 months. Etc.

*All the graduates we have placed with this client are achieving their targets and have seen their basic salary rise from £20k to £25k within 4 months.

Candidate Requirements for Trainee Recruitment Consultants:

Must have either a 2.1 from a top 20 university OR 6-12 months successful B2B sales experience.

Having both is very beneficial to your application.

You must be able to demonstrate the following attributes through extracurricular achievements or previous work experience. (Hitting sales targets, taking positions of responsibility at University, playing Sport to a high level, D of E Gold etc):
