Datasource is a leader in Consultancy, IT and Technical recruitment. We specialise in supplying some of the most prestigious and respected Defence, Government, Financial Services and Technical companies in the UK.

We are looking for exceptional Graduates to start their career with us!

This will be a 12 month fixed term contract, with the potential for a permanent job upon completion of the Graduate Scheme. This could be within the Recruitment, administration or Business operations team.

You will undertake 4 x 3 month placements within the business, to give you a broad knowledge of how our Recruitment business functions.

1st placement (3 months) - Recruitment Resourcing

Tasks:

  • Update calls
  • Calling from the DS inbox
  • Signing off candidates
  • Completing coversheets
  • Practicing good communication to client and candidates
  • Arranging interviews
  • Datasource inbox calls
  • Calling candidates on our system
  • Calling candidates from job sites
  • Calling candidates from adverts
  • The recruitment process - understanding running the perfect job
  • How to get hold of the candidates (every step of the process, call, email, text, linkedin, teams etc.)
  • LinkedIn - canvas, posting the jobs
  • Intro to LinkedIn recruiter
  • How to check advert applications
  • Own 2 watchdogs

2nd placement (3 months) - Financial, Commercial and Business Operations

Tasks:

  • Answering the phone (the essentials of good communication with candidates and clients)
  • Administering the website (posting jobs)
  • Basic Zoho database administration
  • Marketing on LinkedIn - canvas, posting the jobs
  • Checking timesheets
  • Checking and administering invoices
  • Administering contractor and client contracts and paperwork
  • Auditing the pay rate sheet and updating zoho with the most up to date contract details
  • Basic understanding of IR35
  • Basic understanding of AWR
  • Monthly contractor update calls
  • Supporting event management
  • Understanding quality assurance - ISO qualification
  • Security controller - Steph to explain what this job entails
  • Cyber essentials - walk through how to complete the questionnaire
  • REC accreditation
  • GDPR policies (and the importance of GDPR)
  • Feedback log and Google reviews

3rd placement (3 months) - Sales (whilst continuing on with the Recruitment Resourcing role)

Tasks:

  • Update calling - sales clients
  • How to get more jobs from existing clients
  • Identifying sales leads from CVs
  • Generating sales leads
  • Contacting potential new clients
  • Sales presentations
  • Qualifying clients - datasource compatible clients - what do we say yes or no to
  • Company check on companies house
  • Negotiating terms
  • Producing tender documents
  • Generating leads from LinkedIn
  • Using job boards/LinkedIn jobs to get sales leads
  • How to seal the deal
  • Speculative submissions to clients

4th placement (3 months) - Bronze Recruiter

Tasks:

Targets:

  • Average of 10 own submissions per week
  • Send 5 mailshot per week
  • 20 half placements per year
  • 95% on Quality Assurance checks
  • Be a minimum of 7 across 'General’ appraisal ratings

Objectives:

  • Lead on Zoho job and update call lists, driving standards and speed
  • Have a specialist interest in 1 key area which is helpful to the business
  • Find your own candidates via searching
  • Support Recruiters to get to Gold
  • Complete immaculate Running the Perfect Job Form processes
  • Find candidates for submission via LinkedIn
  • Watch YouTube videos on job roles and sectors to help you learn and grow
  • Attend an exhibition or recruitment event
  • Attend candidate meetings
  • Embody Datasource values!

Requirements:

  • A passion for customer service
  • A keen interest in Recruitment or Business Management
  • A minimum of 2.1 Degree
  • An interest in Technology or the Defence Industry would be of benefit!

Once you have finished you will have achieved an excellent base understanding of the following:

  • Recruitment processes and resourcing
  • The importance of excellent customer service
  • Basic business finance, invoicing and accounting
  • Contractual and commercial administration
  • Sales and tendering support
  • Core knowledge of the key areas of a successful business

Aim - to be a Bronze Recruiter

Note, you will be expected to do at an element of Sourcing whilst undertaking the graduate scheme.
