As a recruitment consultant at Hays you'll run your desk like it's your own business, sourcing candidates, winning clients and matching the right candidate to the right job to make fees. The social care team here in Hays is currently delivering success after success this financial year and this has put them in a fantastic position; they are now looking to bring on an experienced recruiter within the social care sector to run a qualified social worker desk in London. The team is run by director who absolutely believes in working as a unit to achieve results and develops each individual in the way that best suits them- every member is valued and achievements are recognised.

It's hard work as you'll have to hit both sales and activity targets (and we have high expectations here at Hays) but a career in recruitment is extremely rewarding and satisfying, both on a personal and financial perspective.

What you'll need to succeed with us
There's not one typical person that makes a good recruitment consultant. We've got people from all kinds of backgrounds - retail, sales professionals, ex-tradespeople, graduates…

You could have just finished university or be a school leaver, have previous work experience or none at all - we don't care about your background, we're more interested in your potential and your attitude. 

To succeed you'll need to demonstrate that you're sales driven, results-focused, and possess an ambitious drive to succeed. Recruitment is hard work and it takes time and perseverance to achieve results so resilience, persistence and determination is key. You need to be passionate about people, outgoing and confident.
