Direct Medics has been providing outstanding recruitment solutions to the UK and Irish healthcare markets since 2000. The company initially worked exclusively with doctors of all grades, before expanding throughout the healthcare market from 2014 with the addition of new divisions serving Nurses, Healthcare Assistant and most recently Allied Healthcare Professionals.

Due to its continued growth and success, we are delighted to offer the opportunity to join our team as a Recruitment Consultant at our Belfast Head Office. A competitive starting salary, full training and uncapped monthly commission will be offered, alongside quarterly team bonuses, with year one OTE of in excess of £35K.

Main Duties and Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Sales
  • To meet individual and team revenue and performance targets;
  • To negotiate fees and rates in line with company terms of business and comply with approvals and discounts allowed as appropriate;
  • To generate new business and maximise existing business potential by investigating additional areas of need for the company's services through telephone and face to face activities;
  • To work within the scope of the company pricing policy
  • Client Management
  • To identify client needs through internal and external networking;
  • To develop client profiles through an excellent understanding of client organisational structures and work cultures;
  • To exploit all existing resources available to attract candidates to fill vacancies;
  • Candidate Management
  • To assist new candidates through the registration process in collaboration with the company’s compliance team;
  • To effectively maintain ongoing contact with active and pre-screened candidates;
  • To provide information to candidates on client and job specifications;
  • To market candidates and shortlist in line with job vacancies, ensuring candidates are of a standard reflective of client requests;
  • To provide structured aftercare by keeping in regular contact with candidates, reviewing progress and performance whilst in placement

Administration

To complete all relevant office administration in line with company procedures and ensure records are kept in line with legislative requirements;

To ensure that all company procedures in relation to data control, including relevant company databases, are adhered to;

To ensure that document checks and updates are completed regularly ensuring ongoing compliance

PERSONNEL SPECIFICATION

Essential requirements:

Educated to 'A’ level or equivalent;

One year’s previous experience in a sales or recruitment role;

Effective communication both verbal and written aimed at developing business at all times;

A strong appreciation of excellent customer care;

Demonstrable evidence of adopting a collaborative approach to the achievement of team objectives;

A high level of organisational and time management skills to include the ability to prioritise workload and work independently;

Self-motivated and committed to self development

Desirable requirements:

Third-level qualification

One year’s previous experience in a medical recruitment role

Demonstrable flexibility and adaptability to evolving business needs

Evidence of prior experience in building a customer base independently
