Recruitment Consultant: HR, public affairs and policy

We are looking for an enthusiastic graduate who wants to train to become a highly skilled recruiter within the HR, Policy and Public affairs sector. The role is based in Reading town centre and is working with a modern and well established recruitment agency. The company will provide excellent training and management for a graduate who joins the business and is starting from scratch.

You will learn a number skills which will help you to fulfil this role, such as : resourcing; industry researching, business development; qualifying candidates; CV stripping; marketing and advertising; general admin and database skills; business negotiation; career management and growth of a business.

For this role it is essential that you have a minimum of a 2:2 classified degree in any discipline; any subject relating to HR, Public affairs and Policies would be a bonus but not essential. No previous sales experience is needed. You must have a positive and straight-forward attitude and be extremely resilient. You must also have the patience to learn, with ambitious goals and targets.

In order to be successful within this industry it is essential that you are tenacious and willing to invest time in personal development outside of working hours, especially during your trainee year. Hard work in your first year can realistically lead to OTE (on-target earnings) of up to £30,000. Your OTE will grow as you grow, with fast-track options available to make you a senior consultant by your third year and £50,000 OTE, you get out exactly what you put in!

Recruitment will equip you with an array of transferable skills that can be applied to many a business career. This may be through a continuity of recruitment, going on to manage or up the recruitment career ladder; or through alternative roles such as marketing, HR, any administration role, and other business and sales roles.

The basic salary for this role is £18-20,000 p/a with an expected OTE of £30,000 in your first year.
