Recovery Support Worker - 37 hours Permanent Contract - Oldham

The day to day duties of a Recovery Support Worker consist of:

-  Key working serviceusers on a 1:1 basis

-  Development of person centred support plans and risk assessments

-  Support with management of medication

-  Liaison with community based teams including: Mental Health Team, Consultant Psychiatrist,GPs, charities, activity based services, DWP etc

-  Supporting serviceusers with daily living skills: shopping, cooking, prompts with personal care,cleaning and generally maintaining their tenancy

The service currently utilises a 12 week rolling rota. Recovery Support Workers are required to work flexibly including:

-  09:00 to 17:00

-  11:00 to 19:00

-  13:00 to 21:00

-  7 Sleep-ins per 12 weeks - a payment in addition to your annual wage will be made for completing a sleep in

-  Every other weekend is free of shifts

At Turning Point we pride ourselves in promoting internally and many recovery support workers have successfully go on to become project workers and beyond, with a significant pay rise. Typically this can happen within 18- 24 months.
