An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Receptionist in a south Manchester based property consultancy. You will ideally have previous experience of working within a property consultancy and be comfortable with being on a stand alone reception desk carrying out a range of administrative duties.

Duties of the Receptionist role will include but will not be limited to:

  • Answering all incoming calls
  • Being the first point of contact for all visitors
  • Opening and distribution of incoming post for the relevant departments
  • Dealing with stationary ordering and keeping the stationery cupboard tidy and up to date
  • Answering calls - redirecting/message taking as appropriate
  • Dealing with any incoming faxes and notifying the relevant person
  • Helping departments with photocopying, mail outs and mail merges
  • Responsible for booking of all meeting rooms and tidying up after each meeting
  • Check post box each morning
  • Updating WIP schedules
  • Updating and/or formatting terms of business, spreadsheets, reports, presentations and correspondence
  • Undertake due diligence/research on behalf of the department
  • Audio/copy typing and report writing
  • Filing, archiving, binding reports and photocopying
  • Diary management, including internal and external meetings, travel and hotel bookings when required
  • Dealing directly with clients, over the telephone, taking messages and occasionally face to face

Your profile:

  • Fast and accurate typist
  • Intermediate / Advanced Microsoft skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines whilst maintaining quality of work
  • Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise work
  • Good telephone manner with excellent client care skills
  • Good level of literacy and numeracy.
  • Ability to work in a team and understand team dynamics
  • Reliable and able to handle confidential matters
  • Previous experience working within the property sector would be an advantage, although not essential
  • Previous receptionist and administrative experience is essential
