To be the first point of contact for members of the public, clients and trades people coming into the offices. Having an understanding and caring attitude towards everyone you meet or speak to over the phone. The environment is an extremely sensitive one so empathy and a great deal of compassion is required for this role. Efficient organizer with excellent administration and communication skills.
Job Role and Responsibilities
-Meeting and greeting clients and organising them to see a Funeral Arranger
-Answering phones and transferring calls to correct party and taking messages where required
-Ensuring and checking deceased are suitable for viewing and escorting families and friends through to chapels for viewings and services
-Ensuring chapels and surrounding areas are tidy
-Handling deliveries of flowers and ensuring they are delivered correctly
-Arranging for urns for cremated remains at client’s request
-Liaising with clients and ensure accurate record keeping of cremated remains
Key Skills and Qualifications
-Excellent telephone manner
-Sympathetic and understanding approach to all client
-Ability to keep records accurately
-Calm and approachable manner
