Hours:9.00 am to 5.30 pm, Monday to Friday Location:Caddington

Good profession-specific skills would be useful, such as
-Attention to detail in all things.
-experience with IRIS Tax Return Software.
-experience using HMRC's website
Structure: you will form key part of a small, busy team and be expected to be flexible, accepting instructions from various members of that team but generally you will be reporting to the management.
Flexibility, willingness and enthusiasm are key traits required

Typical duties to be carried out:
As Receptionist:
You will be the first/main point of contact for many callers and visitors, so being polite, efficient, courteous and professional, in appearance and manner are the most important attributes. Answering the telephone, dealing with calls, putting calls through to staff and dealing with some matters if able to do so and if appropriate;
Meeting, greeting and dealing with callers;
Meeting and greeting clients, making them welcome and making tea/coffee for them, if required;
Correspondence to clients, tax offices and others;
Keeping client database records up to date;
Keeping up to date the registers of client records held and files archived;

As General Office Assistant:
Sending invoices out to clients;
Sending reminders to clients when fees are overdue,
Looking after stationery supplies/stocks and dealing with orders/deliveries; Looking after supplies/stocks for the relevant postal system;
Dealing with the post to be sent (probably, generally, twice daily);
Making tea/coffee for staff (if/as required)
Filing (about 30-40 minutes per day);
Looking after the petty cash record and cash box;
Sending faxes (pretty rare now!);
Processing card payments on the 'pdq' machine Dealing with photocopier service engineers;
