Our Client a Privately owned 65 bedded hotel is looking to recruit a Reception Manager to join their team

Due to continued success, we are looking for exciting, confident, positive and pro-active full time Reception Manager to join our experienced and dedicated team. The successful candidate would be required to work a variety of shifts across the entire reception operation and would be required to complete some hands-on Reception shifts as well as Duty Management shifts.
Please note that this is not a live-in position
Job Purpose
To manage the Reception team and deliver excellent customer service, focusing on the guest experience and related administration.
Your duties will include:
• Overall responsibility and accountability for the Reception Team and Night Duty Management team
• To be the first and last point of contact for the hotel, ensuring that all guests and visitors are welcomed warmly in line with company SOPs.
• To prepare and issue department rotas ensuring that budgetary controls are maintained without compromising guest service
• To recruit, train and develop the reception team to ensure that company standards of performance are met and maintained.
• To be instrumental in the development of the reception product
• Review Customer Feedback and devise ways in which to boost guest experience.
• Effectively deal with guest complaints and concerns in a professional manner
• Ensuring that all guests are greeted promptly on arrival and departure.
• Ensure that company standards for cleanliness are maintained within the department.
• To review, update and role model all reception policies and procedures as per company policy.
• Support the reservations team to ensure that reservations are carried out in line with company standards
• Maximise revenue by leading your team to upsell appropriately.
• To pass on any potential sales leads to the sales team.
• To actively increase occupancy through effective use of sales techniques and product awareness.
• Communicate and share knowledge and information between Reception and other departments.
• Cash handling, banking, AR accounting, safes and floats
• Implementation and review of administrative control systems.
• Duty Management shifts (1-2 per week)

As our Reception Manager you will need to have proven experience in a similar environment along with the following;
• Experience with Opera PMS
• Excellent communications skills, written, face to face and telephone.
• Excellent time management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• A passion for exceptional customer service
