RECEPTION & LOCKER ROOM ASSISTANT, TEAM ENTRANCE– FULL TIME

This multi-purpose role is crucial to the business as it encompasses every aspect of a person’s arrival to work at Selfridges through their journey to the shop floor or even to a meeting in one of our numerous offices.
KNOW THE ROLE
Based in our new Oxford Street Team Entrance & Facilities, you’ll provide a unique and tailored service to our Shop Floor and Head Office Team Members and Visitors, going beyond the ordinary to create moments that cannot be experienced elsewhere. Our stakeholders and guests expect extraordinary service delivered by people with a genuine passion for what they do and to share their unparalleled level of knowledge whilst taking enormous pride in maintaining our exceptionally high standards.
You’ll share your knowledge through unique Selfridges’ stories, You’ll be the face of Selfridges and take team members, visitors and contractors on an experiential journey as they arrive on the London campus through our team and visitor entrance. Using your passion for what you do, you’ll work confidently within the front of house team to deliver exceptional service and to provide a welcoming and sleek experience in the locker room, at the reception desk and throughout the Team Member facilities. You will use your natural curiosity to stay ahead of the latest industry trends by taking every opportunity to expand your knowledge.
The role is an exciting opportunity for a candidate interested in a varied, fast paced environment, where internal customer service is at the forefront of everything we do! Duties include welcoming visitors and team members through various hosting positions, issuing visitor passes, operating cloakroom services and managing our state of the art locker system. The Front of House Team operates the Team Entrance & Facilities on a rotational shift basis between 7am and 11pm daily.

You’ll have genuine passion for customer service and general administration with a natural curiosity to discover and explore more about the team entrance to share with others. Bringing your personality to the service experience you will always look to genuinely connect with your customers while thinking creatively to bring your ideas to life. As well as having the ability to work well as part of a team, you’ll be willing to embrace opportunities to build your skills in order to offer quality and reassurance to all of our internal and external customers and maintain solid awareness of everything from the main directory to various department across Selfridges.
You’ll need to be personable and friendly whilst successfully handling the pressure of greeting high volumes of team members in the reception area. The ability to multi-task is a must especially as you’ll be working across the numerous functions of reception. We appreciate applicants who understand the need for flexibility in the retail industry, and are always impressed by candidates with great work ethics.
