An early-stage disruptor within the fitness industry is looking to double the size of their development team and is currently looking for mid or senior-level developers with React and/or React Native experience. They’ve achieved some really impressive success with 50% year-on-year growth each year and are looking to continue that pattern, expanding across the UK and with a growing international presence as well. What experience you'll need
- You’ll have a large amount of experience with React and/or React Native.
- Any knowledge of or experience with GraphQL.
- Any back-end experience with Node or Typescript, or infrastructure knowledge with ECS, Lambdas or Kinesis would all be beneficial to work alongside the back-end team. None of these are essential for this role however.
- Any design skills would be a nice bonus but not essential to the role.
The team is currently re-writing both their web and app front-end in React / React Native. They are in the process of ‘upgrading’ their tech stack; much of the team is currently developing new skills with React and React Native, however you’ll be key to the team bringing with you substantial previous experience. You’ll be working in a multi-skilled team of 6, looking to double in size by the end of the year. The focus of your work throughout 2018 will be helping implement a significant improvement in mobile first UX, whilst the back-end focused developers within the team update the internal systems. Ultimately this crucial work is about taking their service from MVP stage to a well-architected and scalable product. Some examples of the immediate projects are overhauling the booking system, social messaging service and more.
