RE teaching vacancy in Preston

If so, I am working on behalf of a mainstream secondary school in Preston who are seeking a Teacher of RE from Monday 9th April. This is to cover an unexpected long term staff absence until May half term but it is likely to run through until the summer. The successful RE Teacher will be responsible for teaching KS3/4 RE to a mixed ability group of students across Year 7 - Year 11.

The school is an average sized secondary school within a warming area of Preston. The school is easily accessible via public transport and has excellent on site parking facilities. Behaviour of students at the school can be somewhat challenging so the school are looking for an RE Teacher with strong behaviour management skills.

The successful RE Teacher will be responsible for the planning and preparation of high quality RE lessons, marking of students work and attending whole school and departmental meetings.

To apply for this role you MUST have:

- Valid UK PGCE in a Humanities subject (ideally RE)

- Recent experience of teaching KS3/4 RE

- Commitment to a long term teaching opportunity

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
