40 hours per week-various shift patterns

  • 4 on, 2 off / 1400-2230 and 1330-2200
  • 6 on, 3 off / 1400-2230 and 1230-2100

£9 per hour

The Role of a Ramp and Baggage Agent

  • This position involves working on the baggage belts and working on the Ramp, involves lifting loading and driving. This is a physically demanding role; involving heavy lifting. Working on the belt, will entail loading baggage onto carts and scanning the bags as they come down the chutes after being checked in. Your responsibility is to ensure that all bags are loaded correctly and quickly and scanned properly. You will be expected to carry out demanding tasks within a fast paced environment, working outdoors in all types of weather conditions.

Main responsibilities of a Ramp and Baggage Agent

  • Liaise with customers in a polite and efficient manner
  • Manually load cargo, baggage and mail into aircraft
  • Assist with aircraft towing and pushback operations
  • Operate aircraft in-plane loading systems and terminal baggage belt systems
  • Interact closely with transport staff with the efficient turnaround of their vehicle
  • Complete damage reports for equipment
  • Assist HM Customs as required
  • Operate mobile and fixed equipment
  • maintain a safe working environment and observe safe working practises
  • comply with all Company Procedures
  • to undertake any other duties as required by management
