The Southampton Oncology Centre provides highly specialised radiotherapy treatments for a variety of tumour sites. The centre covers a tertiary referral catchment area, including the specialist areas of Neuro-oncology, Total Body Irradiation and Paediatric services. The post holder will be responsible for the management & day-to-day running of the treatment or pre-treatment unit.
To undertake any other duties which is deemed appropriate to the band when requested by Senior Staff.
We are seeking highly motivated and committed Radiographerwith excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills to join our bank.
You will be working as a Band 6 Radiographer, you will be responsible for the planning and management of your own caseload, service delivery using an impact based model of clinical decision making, actively contributing to service development and providing supervision and support to junior staff members.
Confidentiality/data protection regarding all personal information and Trust activity must be maintained at all times (both in and out of working hours) in accordance with professional codes of conduct and relevant legislation such as the Data Protection Act. The post holder should ensure that they are familiar with and adhere to all Trust Information governance policies and procedures. Any breach of confidentiality will be taken seriously and appropriate disciplinary action may be taken.
