- Preparation of R & D claims, reports and proposals, including liaising with other teams.
- Liaising with external bodies such as HMRC with prompt response to questions.
- Manage a portfolio of clients with R & D claims -- aiming for customer service excellence.
- Work alongside senior team members (Tax Partner) to seek opportunities and innovate for clients by providing an R & D tax planning service and adding value.
- Use a commercial mindset to strategically drive the R & D tax offering and promote the tax capabilities with other team members.
- Build and retain relationships with clients.
- The first point of contact for your portfolio of clients, offering advice, whether reactive or proactive as required -- getting to know their business challenges and opportunities.
- Seek to identify R & D tax planning opportunities as part of the review process -- confidently raising these with partners.
- Provide relevant R & D tax knowledge, proactively disseminating that knowledge to appropriate individuals to actively improve the firm’s overall R & D tax ability and assist with R & D tax training across the firm.
