Quantity Surveyor

Our client are an engineering and technical services supplier to the international nuclear energy sector.

Responsibilities:

As Quantity Surveyor you will play key role in a delivery contract, managing the contract administration from the early design plans, through to contract completion. You would make sure that the projects under your control meet legal and quality standards and ensuring that clients get value for money.

You will provide a quantity surveying / commercial service across a range of projects, reporting to a Commercial Manager, to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget and that accurate and timely reports are produced for senior management. You will be working on multiple contracts simultaneously between £1M to £165M.

You will be involved Pre-contract and Contract work, assisting the work winning team with assessment of tenders and negotiations. Pricing and forecasting, prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation.

Essentials for the role:

  • 5 to 10 years contract experience
  • Knowledge of forms of contact, ideally NEC3 and NEC4
  • MEP experience desired.
  • Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with CEMAR preferred (not essential).
  • Associate or Member of RICS (Royal Institution for Chartered Surveyors) or similar preferred
