Our clients Property Services business provides integrated property maintenance services to both the public and private sector, with particular expertise in housing and public building maintenance.
They are the nation's complete housing solutions specialist with over 30 years' experience within the affordable housing sector. They provide planned and reactive maintenance to over 200,000 domestic properties nationwide and have a significant portfolio of large-scale framework refurbishment programmes. They refurbish and modernise approximately 10,000 homes per annum and complete in excess of 300,000 repairs a year.
Due to our clients continued success and growth plans they are now looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join the in Camden, London.
About The Quantity Surveyor Role:
The purpose of the role is to manage the day to day financial, cost control, reporting and commercial performance of framed works on a social housing contract based in Camden.
You will be responsible for the effective commercial management of all allocated projects including provision of timely and accurate documentation in accordance with the Surveying timetable, in particular Monthly Cost/Value Reports, all elemental reconciliations, cash flow forecasts, etc.
You will also take the lead to establish appropriate targets/rates and re-measurement/evaluation of subcontractor/labour only/direct labour outputs.
All team members are expected to contribute to the delivery of excellent operational performance and championing a 'perfect delivery' service. This will require building relationships with both directly employed and subcontracted resources, ensuring with the goal to deliver cost effective, high quality customer focussed outputs.
The ideal Quantity Surveyor:
To be successful in this role, you will have a proven track record in a Quantity Surveying / commercial role, particularly within the property services or similar related industry. You will have experience of leading the commercial function and demonstrate effective cash management of the project.
You will have experience of working on and pricing planned projects.
You will have excellent interpersonal skills and deliver effective interaction with all members of the project team. You will have the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with the client, employer's representative and supply chain.
You may have experience of the following: Quantity Surveying, Commercial lead, Cost planning, Commercial Management, Contract administration, Property Services, Facility Management, Construction, Building Management Systems, Procurement, Risk Management, Task Management IT systems.
