Your New Company
You will be working for a specialist contractor based in Edinburgh, who due to continued success are looking to expand their team. They have secured a growing number of projects from key clients, mostly repeat business, ranging from housing developers to main contractors. They are therefore looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their business.
Your New Role
You will be working as a Quantity Surveyor, reporting directly to the Contracts Director. You will be office based, as well as going to sites as and when required across Scotland. You will be expected to produce estimations, tenders, bills of quantity, and handle invoicing and final accounts.
What You'll Need To Succeed
You will have experience working for a contractor - sub-contracting experience is preferred but not essential. A degree classification is again preferred but not essential, MRICS is also desirable. You will be able to hit the ground running, and take control of multiple projects in different stages of development. You will be a personable individual, with a strong background in the fit-out and refurbishment sides of construction - candidates with joinery experience will be preferred. An eye for detail is key, as this contractor's success and reputation are built upon their impeccable product, therefore continuing to maintain client relationships is a must.
