Our client, a main contractor in the Care Home Construction Sector, are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to be based in Leeds

The Client

Our client is a main contractor in the New Build Care Homes Sector. Responsible for more new Build Care Homes across the country than any other contractor; our client need an ambitious and talented Quantity Surveyor to work at their Head office based in Leeds.

The Role - Quantity Surveyor

  • Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
  • Assisting in establishing requirements and undertaking feasibility studies;
  • Performing risk and value management and cost control;
  • Advising on procurement strategy;
  • Management and expansion of existing sub-contractor supply chain;
  • Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks;
  • Preparing and analysing costings for tenders;
  • Allocating work and placing orders with subcontractors;
  • Providing advice and reporting on sub-contractor variations and contractual claims;
  • Analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports;
  • Valuing completed work and arranging sub-contractor payments;
  • Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use;
  • Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations

The Experience Required - Quantity Surveyor
