£35,000 per annum (negotiable)

Our client are a highly-regarded, family-owned contractors undertaking building projects around London and the South-East. The company is currently undergoing a period of expansion and a vacancy has arisen for the position of a Quantity Surveyor/Cost Management Surveyor, to work alongside their friendly and dynamic group of colleagues.

The Role

The Quantity Surveyor role will involve working within the Commercial Team, and although predominately weighted to cost management activities, the successful applicant will also be required to evaluate, measure, coordinate, complete and submit new business tenders with support from colleagues and numerous departments. Other duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Scheduling and issue of payment applications
  • Ongoing project cost management and pricing of project variations
  • Answering queries in relation to Client enquiries
  • Working closely with the Contracts Manager and Project Managers regarding progress and cost reports
  • Developing relationships with Clients and Client design teams, and attending project Design Team Meetings
  • Liaising and providing information to Accounts Department

The Candidate
To be considered for the Quantity Surveyor position, you will have the following experience skills and attributes:

  • Experience within a QS or Project Cost Management role
  • Ability to work under own initiatives or as part of a team
  • A passion for delivering a high-quality service
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • A full driving licence would be advantageous, but not essential
