Quantity Surveyor – Subcontractor

Location: Basildon (Office-based)

Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 benefits

My client is an established subcontractor that specialises in commercial fit out.

The are on the lookout for an experienced Quantity Surveyor join a specialist division within the group that looks after Energy fit out projects with clients such as Shell.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all cost and commercial aspects of projects from the Basildon office.
• Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, valuations, and final accounts.
• Administer contracts, variations, and claims in line with project requirements.
• Liaise with site teams, project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure robust financial control.
• Provide accurate cost reporting to safeguard profitability.

Candidate Requirements:

• Commercially astute with excellent negotiation skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both office and onsite teams.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience.
