Salary: £30,000 - £55,000 Per Annum
I'm looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor for a well-established and very highly-regarded multi-disciplinary consultancy in South Manchester. The opportunity exists through growth and succession planning, and consequently the Directors are completely open to the level they might recruit at, hence the wide salary range quoted in this advert: the position could suit those within a wide spectrum of career experience, from graduate through to Associate - what is absolutely key is attitude and the desire to do a good job. The offices of the consultancy in a convenient South-Manchester location with free and easy parking on the doorstep and the company is run by an exceptional, highly-experienced and well-respected management team that is very keen on staff development and investing in it's people. Of note might be the fact that the office has a real stable staff base, with several members of the team holding 20 year tenures, reflecting the quality of culture and the fact that staff are looked after.
The appointed individual will join a supportive, high-calibre multi-disciplinary team that primarily consists of Quantity Surveyors of all career levels, from graduate to Partner. The team deliver Projects across a range of sectors, including high-rise/student accommodation residential, education, heritage/historic property and sports/leisure, with the full range of project sizes from smaller-scale refurb jobs through to highest-value major construction projects. The team spread the project mix between each other, thus no individual tends to specialise in one sector - or get permanently relegated to the less-"glamorous" projects, facilitating a real mix of project exposure and the deep professional development that such a mix achieves.
The right individual might currently be working towards their APC or might have aspirations to do so, which would be fully-supported by the RICS-qualified management team. While RICS-qualification is held in high regard by the practice, this isn't pushed and the team does consist of some individuals who aren't RICS-qualified and have no aspirations to change this. Either option is fine.
Applications are invited from all individuals with Consultancy Quantity Surveying / PQS experience, with prior project experience not of too much concern. The opportunity provides incredible opportunity for personal and professional development and subsequent career advancement through succession planning. For experienced individuals in particular, the opportunity exists to progress to Associate level and beyond in the short to medium term, as appropriate for all parties.
An attractive package of salary and benefits, negotiable dependent on experience, is available to secure the right high-calibre individual.
