Our client saves lives! They specialise in manufacturing and supplying Gas detection equipment across the globe.

Due to continued growth and expansion, our client is now requiring a Quality Technician to join their dynamic team.

Main objectives of role:

  • Ensuring the quality of product received meets the needs of the business both in terms of physical product and documentation
  • Responsible for keeping all gauges and test machines used for monitoring quality calibrated and properly maintained
  • Ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the Quality Management System

Principle Accountabilities.

  • Supply of data/metrics to be used in communication with all staff, including management, on 'out of box' performance, repeat issues, corrective and preventive actions etc
  • Professional handling of both internal and customer quality issues in accordance with company procedures
  • First line investigation of vendor quality issues, including completion of reports as required
  • Working closely with colleagues in supply chain to ensure all appropriate quality procedures and escalation processes are applied to enable speedy resolution of issues
  • Maintain work area, including tools, equipment and storage protocols in line with 5S

  • Confident to communicate professionally with suppliers via email and phone
