Quality Technician

A Quality Technician is required to work for a highly successful metals manufacturer in Sheffield. With a turnover of over £15M and 100 employees on site, this business are looking for a long term hire who can progress and develop internally in the company.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Technician will work with specialist products, in a fast moving manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be vital in monitoring and improving the effectiveness of the Quality department and to ensure the quality of manufactured goods.

This is a critical role in the business and due to growth, our client is looking to find a determined and committed individual who will help mould and drive a successful Quality team.

Quality Technician Duties and Responsibilities Include:

- Read and understand technical drawings using internal and external specifications
- Perform standard tensile & anchorage tests
- Record and collate scrap from various production processes
- Attend site to advise/assist with customer complaints
- Internal auditing, and support the department during third party audits
- Support the department in internal and external company audits.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

- Previous experience of working in a quality role in an ISO9001 environment
- Show a willingness to learn
- Demonstrate a pro-active approach to Health & Safety regulations
- Socially interactive, outgoing personality who works well in a team
