Quality Technician (FMCG Food sector - high volume manufacturing)
Our client is a major market leading manufacturer with an excellent reputation for its product quality and innovation within its market sector. Their site in Kent has developed a positive culture and very supportive site environment based around their focus on their core values which emphasise team work and respect for others. They now require a Quality Control Officer on a permanent basis to join a very proactive team working within an exciting, fast paced and vibrant manufacturing facility that has had some substantial new investment.
Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, you will be required to respond to both external and internal customer queries, maintain a clean and safe working environment, monitoring compliance to standard procedures, guidelines and quality. To advise management and staff of performance against the site standards and actively take part in corrective action to address non-compliances ensuring continuous improvement together with generating and maintaining appropriate quality documentation.
You will also be responsible for assessing and carrying out QA checks of incoming products, ensure company procedures are followed by all personnel and visitors plus ensure equipment is operational and relevant checks are made and maintained.
We are seeking a confident individual who has some QA/QC experience from within a food production environment - a background of working with fresh produce or closely related product is essential. You will possess excellent attention to detail, be highly organised and be IT literate including proficiency using spreadsheets.
The Quality Controller job is based in the South East region and is paying £23,500 according to individual skills and previous experience. The core working hours are 8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday.
