Our client, a highly respected Higher Education establishment based in Paisley, require a Quality Standards Co-ordinator on a temporary basis. The hours of work will be Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm. The rate of pay will be £13.43.
A PVG Disclosure Certificate for working with children dated within last 6 months is required for this role and you must be prepared to apply for a scheme update.

Main Purpose of the Role:
To implement a standardised and consistent campus approach to quality assurance practices in line with agreed college procedures.

  • Ensure standardisation and consistency of practice in external, prior and internal verification with college policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Provide support for curriculum staff in all matters relating to quality assurance in line with awarding body requirements
  • Liaise with awarding bodies, acting as the main college contact when directed
  • Coordinate the internal approvals process and retain accurate records of activity
  • Administer secure site assessment materials and maintain accurate records in line with college policy, procedures and guidelines
  • Coordinate , plan for and participate in qualifications and systems verification events. Provide support for curriculum teams in disseminating feedback and meting actions from these events
  • Maintain currency of whole college approvals records
  • Contribute to the planning and conduct of internal audits and participate and report on audit activities
  • Deal with college complaints
  • Support in coordinating campus based arrangements for external examinations and graded units
  • Contribute to the design, development and distribution of curriculum and quality course and faculty reports

Key Skills and Requirements:
  • SCQF level 7 qualification in a Business, IT or Administration related subject
  • Recent experience in co-ordinating administration or quality assurance processes across a range of curriculum areas
  • Experience in managing data electronically
  • Experience of working with awarding bodies
  • Able to work to tight deadlines, multi-task and manage priorities in a busy workplace environment
  • Used to handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Involvement in internal or external approvals procedures
  • Experience in meeting awarding body compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Experience of internal and external verification and auditing
  • Experience of setting up and managing examinations
  • Experience of working with a student records database e.g. Unit E
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and compliance systems
  • Competent IT skills - using Microsoft Office software
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of data protection legislation
