The Company

My client is leading the way in smart technologies that control vibration to make systems perform better and more cost effectively over an extended lifetime.

They are currently looking for someone to join their team as a Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Manager to bring structure, continuous improvement and improved quality standards to the department.

The role

The QSHE Manager is required to make autonomous decisions to make sure daily and weekly operations targets are met. They will be reporting in to the Operations Director delivering to key metrics on quality, safety, delivery and cost.

We are looking for someone with experience of working in a similar senior role in a production or operations environment.

The ideal QSHE Manager will be responsible for:

  • Delivering exceptional performance in Quality, Safety, Delivery and Cost
  • Maintaining ISO 9001 2015 standard and managing the quality system
  • Carrying out root cause analysis and developing problem solving teams on internal and external quality issues in a timely manner
  • Developing an Environmental and Health and Safety system to significantly improve current standards to agreed levels within an agreed time frame
  • Carrying out quality and accident investigations and reporting to the senior management team in a timely manner
  • Supporting the operations team with focal point as subject matter expert

The QSHE Manager would be:

  • Lean Six Sigma Green belt or similar experience would be an advantage
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualification and experience of implementing and monitoring
  • Operations and production manufacturing background
  • A self-starter with excellent man-management skills and the ability to look ahead
  • Someone who can function across multiple disciplines
  • Excellent formal problem solving skills with ability to influence others to adopt these skills
  • A people person with high values in respect and the ability to spot talent and develop this to its full potential
  • Be able to develop teams and become a leader and mentor to the business at both senior and junior levels
  • Completer finisher with multiple role experience who can bring teams together
  • Professional and amenable at all times but able to see the bigger picture
  • Fully conversant with Microsoft Office packages
