Quality Manager – Manufacturing

Location: Southend, Essex

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 06:45 – 16:30

Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum + Overtime Available

Are you a proven leader in quality assurance looking for your next challenge? We are recruiting on behalf of a highly respected manufacturer in the Southend area, seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead their quality operations and drive continuous improvement across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all quality functions, including calibration, testing, and inspection.
  • Manage and maintain the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Act as the company’s representative for all quality-related matters.
  • Approve FAIR/LAIR documentation and ensure compliance with customer and industry standards.
  • Lead, support, and develop the quality team, ensuring high performance and accountability.
  • Drive a culture of “right first time” and continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong background in quality management within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Proven leadership skills and experience managing a quality team.
  • Working knowledge of quality standards, calibration systems, and inspection tools.
  • Experience with VisualFAIR software is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

What’s on Offer:

Competitive salary between £45,000 and £50,000 per year.
