I’m currently recruiting for a Quality Manager to join a well-established, award winning manufacturing company based in Liverpool.
As a Quality Manager you will be working closely with Senior Management and all departments. You will ensure effective quality management and continuous improvement through the identification of gaps in compliance with processes and procedures; communicating issues and instigating change.
Overall responsibility of the Internal and External Non-conformance processes will involve coordination of daily NC meetings, conducting investigations and monthly Quality audits.

Responsibilities and Duties;
  • Agreeing and implementing control measures resulting from the audits with the relevant departments
  • Monitoring and recording stock movement within the quarantine areas
  • Maintenance of Site Quality and Compliance Systems
  • Investigate customer queries and supplier issues to determine root cause
  • Implementing Correction and Preventative Actions (CAPA)
  • Monitoring CAPA ensuring all corrective and preventative actions are communicated and understood by the relevant departments/personnel
  • Keep account directors fully informed of non-conformances and CAPA solutions
  • Report CAPA solutions to customers and clients
  • Ensure the company is ready for external ISO and H&S audits
  • Ensure the company is ready for external BRC audits:
  • Development and maintenance of all policies, procedures, documents and records in line with the BRC Quality Management Systems
  • Control of Hazard and Risk Management System
  • Ensure HACCP Regulations are applied throughout the company
  • Conduct monthly hygiene and housekeeping audits
  • Conduct monthly glass, brittle plastics and sharps audits and maintain the relevant registers
  • Implementation and observation of robust Health & Safety procedures
  • Conduct Risk Assessments agreeing remedial action and timescales
  • Implementing and documenting Safe Systems of Work
  • Managing a waste contract
  • Responsibility for all aspects of Fire Safety management

Essential Requirements
  • Quality Systems
  • In depth knowledge of quality management systems 
  • HACCP
  • Demonstrable experience in managing HACCP 
  • Health & Safety
  • Demonstrable knowledge of health and safety legislation, regulation and management.
