Salary will depend on experience - Range from £45000 up to £50,000 for Senior Level Candidates, plus excellent benefits

We are looking for a Quality Manager that has worked in Automotive, Aerospace or a similar regulated manufacturing Industry

Purpose of the role

The Quality Manager's job is to ensure that the short & long term product quality objectives of the organisation are effectively delivered. This applies not only to the business as a whole but also to the Quality Manager's own areas of organisational responsibility.

Key skills:

  • Engineering Degree
  • Experience of working to ISO9001, AS9100 and NADCAP.
  • Experience of working within Aerospace / Automotive / Manufacturing or similar heavily regulated environment.
  • A proven track record of implementation of business improvement initiatives and techniques.
  • Provide expertise in quality techniques (6 sigma advantageous)
  • A record of supplier and customer interaction at a senior level.

Responsibilities:

The key areas of responsibility where results have to be achieved for the overall core purpose of the Quality Manager's job to be attained are:

  • Deliver the strategic objectives for the quality department.

  • Aid and support the implementation of the Quality Management System. ISO9001, AS9100, Nadcap.

  • Lead change / business improvement. Drive Quality into production areas via continuous improvement. Value Added Inspection.

  • Customer satisfaction (both internal & external). Improve Supplier Quality. Manage customer complaints.

  • Drive departmental efficiency/functional performance/ outputs to target.

  • Budget management. Cost Awareness.

  • Manage Quality Department - Engineers / Technicians / FAIR's/ APQP. Developing & motivating people.

  • Contribution to Team Work across the group.

  • Monitor and report on Business Unit performance internally and externally

  • Manage customer audits and approvals.

  • Management of the material testing and the calibration departments.
