The Quality, Ethics and Excellence Monitoring team play a crucial role in shaping how the firm conducts its professional practices. Working closely with the regulators the team ensures that the firm remains compliant with industry regulations and continues to uphold its professional integrity. As an Executive in this team you'll support the wider team in delivering against targets and expectations.

Given the importance of independence and increased regulatory scope and focus, this role offers exciting opportunities for the right person to expand their knowledge.

What you'll be doing:

*you'll undertake general QEE monitoring including that required by the ethical standard
*you'll complete thematic reviews on specific QEE subject matter
*you'll perform quality reviews of audit files for ethics issues
*you'll draft responses to straight forward technical queries and consultations on a range of ethics related topics
*you'll provide support to other team members of the ethics team
*you'll support presenters on QEE matters at internal training events
*you'll support QEE team during external regulator quality monitoring reviews
*you'll work with others to enhance QEE quality
*you'll develop contacts within Grant Thornton in other service lines

Education, experience and qualifications:

You'll have previous experience of working in a professional services firm or similar
You'll ideally have a compliance, risk, audit or Independence background or previous experience in a similar role, but more importantly you'll have a willingness to learn a new technical area
You'll have a basic understanding of the ethical standards and how to interpret and apply principles in a practical way
