Successful candidates will be expected to develop, implement and continually improve Quality systems in support of manufacturing, suppliers and customers that will support zero defects internally and externally.
Position Duties & Responsibilities
1.Prepare and perform when required Quality Control Plans in conjunction with Manufacturing Instructions
2.Prepare and support Quality Inspection Instructions specific to each work area and product type
3.Prepare and perform audits to insure that procedures and instructions related to the QMS are adhered to
4.Perform random Quality checks on the shop floor of critical characteristics as identified in manufacturing control plans
5.When required, provide support to Purchasing for evaluation of new suppliers, or continuous improvement activities of existing suppliers
6.Visit suppliers and customers to investigate non-conformance issues
7.Be able to lead / support investigations of non-conformances and all responses using problem solving techniques
8.Work with Quality Inspectors to ensure quality instructions are followed and documented in manufacturing
9.Prepare as and when required Quality Plans
10.Work as part of a Project team to ensure they follow Quality procedures and processes acting as the needs of the customer
1.Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of non-conformities related to product, processes, and quality systems
2.Identify and record any problems related to product, process, or quality system
3.Initiate, propose, or provide solutions through designated channels
4.Verify, or participate in the verification of, implemented solutions
5.Control further processing or delivery of non-conforming product until the non-conformity has been corrected
6.Represent the needs of the customer in internal functions related to the Quality System
To be considered for this position, candidates must have strong communication skills and the ability to work/communicate effectively with people at all levels both internally and externally.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required
1.Minimum 5 years in QC/QA
2.Previous experience in an engineering environment or relevant industry sector
3.Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
4.Preferably have experience in auditing
5.Familiar with the use of Quality tools and techniques (RCA, 8D, 5 Why, PFMEA)
6.Understand ISO 9001 quality standards
7.Be able to read and understand technical drawings
1.BS EN 9102 First Article Experience
2.Exposure to CNC Machining
3.Exposure to Assembly Integration & Test
4.NPI process and controls
