Quality Engineer

A Quality Engineer is required in Sheffield, South Yorkshire within manufacturer of products for the precision engineering industry. Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, the Quality Engineer will ensure that all quality standards continually improved through focus on product issues and raising quality awareness on the workshop floor.

Quality Engineer Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Generation, control and acceptance of Process, and product quality documentation
- Act as the Quality Leadership for the Business Unit allocated and act as the customers first point of contact for quality matters
- Regularly review quality and regulatory requirements and ensure compliance is achieved
- Oversee and undertake inspections of product and paperwork both internally and at suppliers where required
- Develop manufacturing methods to reduce the costs of Quality Control
- Responsible for the control and reduction of Non Conformance both in the product, process and suppliers engaged in the manufacture of Nuclear product

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

- Ideally bachelors Degree or equivalent in Engineering
- 2 or more years' experience in a Quality Assurance role
- Sound knowledge and experience of 8D/5Y or FMEA and Problem Solving methodologies
- Auditor qualification preferred
