The Company:

I am currently working with an established manufacturing company based South of Burnley. The company manufacture a range of plastic components and supply into the Medical Device industry. The company are going through a period of growth and are looking to take on a Quality Engineer.

The Opportunity:

As mentioned the company are looking to take on a hands on and experienced Quality Engineer. They are looking for an engineer who has worked within Automotive or Medical devices. They are interested in candidates who have previously been involved in problem solving activities include 8D, root cause analysis and PMEA’s. As a Quality Engineer you will be involved in lean manufacturing and process improvement so exposure to this will be an advantage. Candidates who will be considered for the role need to have a good understanding of Quality Standards including; ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 17025, ISO 14001 and BS OHSAS 18001.

The business have a hardworking culture and a good team ethos. They are looking for an engineer who is positive, reliable and passionate. As an engineer you need to be able to work in a team and happy to take direction from your Quality Manager who you will be reporting into.

What’s needed for me to be considered?

To be considered for this role they are ideally looking for someone with the following criteria:

  • Hands on experience as a Quality Engineer
  • Worked within the medical device or automotive environment
  • Lean manufacturing experience
  • Involvement in Fault finding / process improvement activities
  • Good understanding of Quality Standards including; ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 17025, ISO 14001 and BS OHSAS 18001).
  • Creating PFMEA’s
  • Hardworking
  • Team player
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Hands on / Practical
