Quality Lab Coordinator - Oakham - Attractive salary
ALH Recruitment are looking to recruit a Quality Laboratory Coordinator with immediate effect for our client based at their production facility near Oakham.
Role & Responsibilities:
Responsible for scheduling and testing products to ensure they meet their given product specification.
Conduct Health and Safety risk assessments on all activities and processes conducted within the laboratory and ensure all analysis is conducted according to Good laboratory practices (GLP).
Responsible for ensuring laboratory stocks are maintained and all laboratory equipment is calibrated.
Responsible for managing laboratory internal audits in accordance to the facility UFAS certification requirements.
Ensuring all methods are validated and conduct ring tests across the company and external laboratories.
Member of the site HACCP team, ensure analytical non-conformances are evaluated according to HACCP requirements.
Educational, skills and experience requirements:
Scientific qualification is required, BSc or higher.
Attention to detail is crucial.
Significant experience in a food production environment is essential.
Experience essential in analytical techniques and instruments, ICP-OES, HPLC, UV spectroscopy.
Experience essential in Microbiological enumeration methods.
Proven experience or certified training related to HACCP.
Proven experience or certified training as an internal auditor.
Proven experience or certified training on quality management systems, UFAS, ISO or similar feed or food systems.
MS Word and Excel skills are required.
Excellent time management capabilities: plans, prioritises and organises multiple concurrent tasks to meet deadlines.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a willingness to help others.
Self-motivated with the ability to operate without close supervision.
Willingness to travel for work.
