To provide guidance and on-going support to the Production stream to facilitate compliance with Quality/Regulatory policies, Food Safety Programmes (HACCP), procedures and product specifications.
To measure compliance against defined corporate and customer policies, Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental standards and product specifications through independent audit and testing.
To promote a high standard of awareness and understanding at site level of all appropriate policies, procedures and product specifications.
Verification of Quality testing: Ensure product quality and adherence to product specification through verification and auditing of the routine quality testing completed by Production Team Members.
Product release: Authorise the release of product to customers ensuring all quality testing has been successfully completed
Manage Factory Audits: Ensure that internal Quality audit process is carried out to verify compliance against defined standards and codes of practice (All factory areas, stores, maintenance areas, utilities, yard, perimeter, canteens, changing rooms.) Also manage the Glass and Hard Plastic Audits and participate in Food Defence activities as required.
Facilitate the implementation of Quality/Safety standards: Ensure there is necessary training and support made available to the Production Stream and other functional areas in order to deliver the required standards
Resolution and close out of issues: Provide support and guidance to the Production stream as part of the issue resolution process to enable the effective resolution and close out of issues and incidents when they arise, including non-conformances from internal and external audits, and the investigation and resolution of customer complaints and product or process non-conformances.
Cleaning and Factory Hygiene: Audit the hygiene practices in the factory with emphasis on clean-as-you activities during production.
Pest Prevention Program: Monitor the effectiveness of the site pest control programme within the factory through inspection of snap traps and pest sighting logs
Standard Confirmation: Check that standards set within the quality assurance team and Production streams are adhered to through layered confirmation.
Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve standards set by facilitating and executing 8 step practical problem solving and other appropriate KPS methodologies.
Proficient written, numerical and verbal skills
Fluency of English language and numerical ability to record, interpret and analyse key process data
A minimum of one years’ experience working within a manufacturing environment
Proficient in the use of MS Office tools
Understanding of a Manufacturing Quality Management system
Knowledge of BRC Global Standard and specific customer standards as they apply
The ability to identify and actively plan improvements
Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to be successful in a changing environment

Effective communicator with good influencing skills and ability to work cross functionally
Able to work a two-shift system (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm)
A minimum of one years’ experience working within a food manufacturing environment
Previous experience carrying out verification audits in a manufacturing environment
Understanding of Food Safety Systems and Quality Management Systems
