My client in Daventry is seeking a Quality Assurance Team leader.

Salary: £27- £30,000

Hours: Days

Persons: It is essential that the candidate has previous experience within Quality Control with a background within either food logistics, pharmaceutical or manufacturing. Previous experience within multi chamber products including high risk will be an advantage along with understanding of HACCP.

Role: Maintaining and increasing food safety and quality standards at the NDC.
Overall responsible for the implementation of process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, service delivery and to create a continuous improvement culture within the site.
Provide strong management guidance and direction across all business and process improvement opportunities and other problem solving methodologies.
Ensure the timely implementation by directing, guiding others, and applying various operational excellence tools to resolve problems including providing training where required.

Act as primary advisor to the management team on QA issues/initiatives.
Create, maintain and update SOPs, WIs and other learning materials to be used on site.
Assessing customer requirements and ensuring these are met
Demonstrates ability to develop, maintain and produce reports related to the QA meetings and product evaluation
Compile and prepare reports, presentations and other documents
Work with QA Manager and IT on the traceability of goods in and goods out.
Determine and agreeing on in-house quality procedures and standards
Responsible for ensuring that the food safety procedures are complied with when performing inspections
Perform inspections and audits on site.
Management of corrective action in response to audits
Assist with quality assurance audits as planned and directed by the management team
Ensure the attainment and sustenance of the ISO 9001 and 14001 certification at the site
Gather and enter data on Logics on a monthly basis
Manage and monitor a team of up to 8 hygiene colleagues to ensure hygiene standards are maintained in the workplace.
Champion Continuous Improvement , change culture and quality service delivery across operation
Determine and co-ordinate corrective and preventative.
Conduct processes reviews to eliminate waste and reduction in cost.
Train and coach members of management team to establish the area of improvement and define problems and propose solutions.
Co-ordinate the implementation of projects
Actively define, lead and support continuous improvement activities through the business
Compiles and prepares reports, presentations and other documents
Participates in projects as assigned by the management team
