Quality Assurance Officer
(Permanent – 37.5 hours per week, worked on a rota between 07:00 & 22:00)
Our client produces over 2,800 aseptically compounded injectable pharmaceutical products each day for hospitals and patients across the UK who are fighting cancer, living with chronic disease or in need of pain relief. Through their scientific and technology capabilities, the team continuously develops new and innovative methods to improve their products and services.
Due to the expansion of their site and services they are currently recruiting a QA Officer. This would be a great opportunity for a Pharmaceutical Scientist/Chemist/Biologist/Microbiologist/Pharmacy Technician/Registered Science Technician who wants to be part of the QA team involved in the quality assurance of aseptically prepared products. You will work within the team to continue to develop their capacity and capability so that they can continue to deliver their products to hospitals and patients homes across the UK and beyond.
The successful applicant will work with the Quality Management team to:
- Act as part of the release team for our range of aseptically manufactured “specials”
- Maintain the quality management system
- Ensure that GMP is consistently achieved
The successful candidate will need to be a member or eligible for membership of The Royal Society
of Chemistry, Royal Institute of Biology, The Science Council or Royal Pharmaceutical Society.
The successful candidate must have at least 2 years’ experience working within a GMP environment; you should be self-motivated, dynamic and enthusiastic to enable you to contribute to their continuing growth. You must be a team player who is quick to react to changing priorities and has a passion for delivering quality products and ensuring site-wide compliance.
Your day-to-day priorities will include batch release and documentation approval which will involve interactions with other departments. You will also receive exposure to all aspects of the QMS.
