My client is a specialist sub contract manufacturer supplying products to a vast range of industries such as Medical Device, Oil & Gas, Defence and many more. The company is high - tech and fast paced and is achieving impressive results against an adventurous new business strategy.

The role

This is a perfect opportunity for a Quality Engineer to make their move up the quality ladder. You will manage all aspects of the Quality Management System including running a small team of QA and QC professionals while ensuring compliance with all company standards and driving continuous improvement throughout the company.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Quality Management System to ISO 9001 and 14001 standards
  • Investigate, resolve and report all quality issues with methodology such as 8D
  • Manage both QA and QC teams
  • Carry out regular internal audits along with supplier and external audits as necessary
  • Analyse and provide reports on quality and environmental data
  • Attend regular meetings with suppliers and customers
  • Manage, track and close relevant CAPA’s
  • Produce KPI reports on a weekly and monthly basis

Skills and experience

  • At least 2 years’ experience of quality assurance gained from a manufacturing or production background
  • Internal and external auditing experience
  • Demonstrable experience of driving continuous improvement particularly across manufacturing and/or production
  • Some experience of managing a team would be helpful
