Your new company is a leader in the UK in the manufacturing of instant dry powders for the food and beverages industry. The company manufactures dry powders such as custard, skimmed milk powder, instant desserts, coffee creamers and fat powders and has an annual turnover in the region of 70 million across UK based sites.
Your new role
In your new role as a Quality Assurance Manager, you will be providing an efficient and effective quality assurance service, ensuring product safety, quality & legality, as well as compliance with corporate and site policies and procedures to the benefit of the business and its customers.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in your new role as a Quality Assurance Manager, you will need to be able to investigate internal non-conformance and make a decision on disposition of any affected stock. Ensure the results of any internal audits are raised with the relevant Management and where necessary assist in drawing up a corrective action plan.
Plan, prioritise and organise the work load of the QA staff. Ensure they are fully utilised and completing tasks accurately and on time. Coach team members and support their individual development programmes.
Write factory rework instructions for non-conforming products or materials etc. and write QA work instructions for each of the operational departments.
You will review factory operations on daily basis and ensure adherence to internal quality procedures including BRC and specific customer technical standards.
Finally, you will take an active part in site audits and undertake any traceability exercise required.
What you'll get in return
