Quality Assurance Inspector
Think of a vegetable.
You probably thought of a carrot. Or maybe even a potato.
You could have chosen pak choi, or choi sum. In fact, you could have thought of fennel, Jerusalem artichokes or even celeriac. Have you even heard of any of these vegetables? At DGM we are specialist growers, importers, packers and suppliers of niche products like these. With a very broad customer base, you may have even seen our produce in leading supermarkets and retail stores.
We are ideally looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Inspector to enhance our QA team based in Spalding, Lincolnshire.
As a Quality Assurance Inspector, you will assess and report on the quality of our products by carrying out visual, sensory and technical tests during different stages of the process. You will be responsible for ensuring that quality is absolute premium from the moment the raw product arrives at DGM Growers, whilst it is in production and until the point of dispatch.
As a key member of the QA team you will be focused on communicating any quality issues to line management and ensuring that the product meets customer requirements and specifications.
It will be your responsibility to make an accurate decision as to whether the product is perfect enough for our customer, and if not what next steps you advise the business to take.
If you have experience of working as a Quality Assurance Inspector in the past, you are one step closer to becoming part of our unique team. If you have experience in working with fresh produce, we would love to hear from you.
As a Quality Assurance Inspector, you need a keen eye for detail as you’ll be trained to spot product issues to ensure that only perfect stock reaches our customers’ stores. You’ll also need to be a strong communicator as it’s vital that everybody is kept in the loop at DGM Growers.
Ideally you’ll be very well organised with the ability to meet deadlines as it can be pretty hectic here, especially in peak seasons! If you are a wiz on Excel and other Microsoft packages, that would be a bonus too!
Offering a competitive salary and attractive benefit package, our Quality Assurance Inspectors work a 10 in 14 shift pattern of four days in the week and alternate weekends, which equates to 43.5 hours per week. It’s all calculated on a Rota basis which will be given to you well in advance.
We are in a pretty remote area, so it is vital that you are able to drive.
If this role sounds like it would be perfect for you, we would love to hear from you!
