Quality Assurance Engineer

Based in Hilsea

Full Time

Fixed Term Contract - 6months - 1 year duration


37.5 hours per week - Monday - Friday with half days on a Friday


£28000 - £32000 per annum, dependant on experience


My client is within the Defence Maritime Sector and is a leader within their field established for over 20 years. Expanding in size due to constant Project development they are now seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join them in their ever developing business, close to Public Transport links n Portsmouth.

The Job

The Quality Assurance Engineer will be to support the company in the accreditation to BSEN ISO 9001:2015 & 14001:2015 standards within the required time frame and to support within QA in all aspects of Health & Safety and Environmental. The role will involve various QA Testing, Internal & Supplier Auditing on a monthly basis, documentation checking and meeting all required quality standards.

About You

You should be able to demonstrate the following:-

* Previous experience of working with a QA Environment

* Strong eye for detail

* Previously worked within the Defence background

* Strong communication skills

* Health & Safety awareness

Desirable skills/qualifications/experience

* Computer Literate

* Previously worked with and/or supported a business with accreditation to ISO 9001:2015 or 14001:2015 standards

* Degree or equivalent (HNC/HND) in Aerospace, Engineering, Quality or Manufacturing

* Familiar with problem solving techniques (5Y, 8D, Ishikawa)

* Knowledge and application of AQAP

* Knowledge & Application of OHSAS 18001 standards

* Auditing experience
