Reports To: Managing Director
Contract type: FT Permanent
Salary: £37,000 - £42,000
Location: Nursling, Southampton - with a requirement to travel to client sites

About the Role
The Quality and Compliance Manager is responsible for leading and supporting all aspects of quality, health, safety, and environmental legislation. They will constantly review and ensure that compliance, best practice, policies, statements, and procedures are recommended, implemented, and adhered to.

The Quality and Compliance Manager will plan, manage, implement, and monitor all quality systems and processes, protective and preventative safety measures and promote and instill a positive QSHE culture and agenda within the workplace.

This is a challenging new position helping take the company to the next level and as such you’ll have the opportunity to make this role your own.  Reporting directly to the Managing Director you will need to be proactive, show leadership qualities, be accountable and be able to hit the ground running in a small but growing business where you can really make a difference.


  • Manage the daily operations such as auditing, attending meetings, carrying out training and updating records
  • Be the primary contact for ISO9001 and BS EN1090 standards/accreditation 
  • Manage audit programmes; create and maintain methods and systems for compliance audits, including correction of non-conformances and compliance monitoring
  • Creating action plans; recommendations for corrective actions and reports as per set timescales
  • Analyse and resolve quality issues within production and dome installations
  • Drive Continuous Improvement across all departments 
  • Lead the implementation of new and the maintenance of existing lean manufacturing techniques
  • Be responsible for compliance of products and raw materials
  • Participate across all levels, and gain commitment from all departments to ensure quality and compliance systems and procedures are adhered to
  • Support new product development

 Experience required

  • Have relevant engineering qualification with a minimum of five years’ experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of applicable legislative frameworks
  • Background in the manufacture of structural steel/aluminium under EN1090
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 with experience of working according to BSI standards and Euro Codes
  • Be commercially aware
  • Analytical and strategic with a pragmatic approach
  • Be organised with the ability to thrive under pressure
  • Have excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Be a natural leader for driving change
  • Full UK Driving license 
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK
  • Desirable experience
  • 2D CAD Drafting
  • 3D CAD Modelling

  £37,000 - £42,000 depending on skills experience. FT following probation
22 days holiday plus bank holidays, auto enroll pension and free parking
Working hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:30am to 5:00pm. Friday, 8:30am to 2:00pm.
